Ave Maria University and Head Football Coach Barry Fagan are pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Mervos to the AMU Football Program. With the signing, Mervos makes history by claiming the distinction of AMU’s first ever football player as well as the first player to receive a football scholarship.
Mervos, a 6 foot, 170 pound wide receiver from Davie, Florida, played football at Cooper City High School under Head Coach Mike Manning. Mervos had 25 receptions for 463 yards and six touchdowns last year, and competed in the Broward County All-Star event.
Mervos has maintained a 3.6 grade point average to compliment his success as an athlete. He is the complete player-student-person which makes him a great fit at Ave Maria University.
