Rozanski Signs with Ave Maria
[Back]

Ave Maria University men's basketball coach Jamon Copeland has announced that Marc Rozanski has signed to play for the Gyrenes in 2009-10.

Rozanski is a 6-4, 200 pound transfer guard from NCAA Division II Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. Rozanski played the 2007-08 season in which he helped SHU to a 12-15 overall record.

Prior to Seton Hill Marc was a standout guard for Serra Catholic High School. As a senior he led Serra to a 24-4 record, Section 3A championship, and a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class A number one ranking going into the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) championships. He averaged 18 points and 7 assists in his senior season and was a Class A WPIAL and Section 3A First Team selection along with being named the McKeesport Daily News Boys Basketball Player of the Year. A standout quarterback as well in high school Marc was named First Team Pittsburgh Post Gazette All Class A his senior season.

"We are excited to have Marc join our program," Copeland said. "He is a big, versatile guard that can play multiple positions for us. He is an explosive athlete who is a great passer and defender. Marc is a coach's son who really understands the game, is tough, and plays hard all of the time. He will be a great addition to the Ave Maria University student body."
