The Ave Maria University Men's Basketball Team dropped its third game in a row Saturday night in Franklin Springs, Georgia, and now sit with a 3-3 overall record. AMU was up 28-23 at the half, but an aggressive Truett-McConnell College fought their way back to defeat AMU 66-61.
The Gyrene offense was led by freshman Dylan Fugate who bucketed 23 points. He was 8 of 20 shooting, and 3-6 from beyond the arc. He collected 8 boards and a steal in 35 minutes played. Freshman Kiel Lewis had 9 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
With their Thanksgiving road trip completed, Ave Maria will look to get back on the winning side of .500 when they face Florida College at home on Saturday, December 5th. The game is scheduled to take place in the Donahue Academy Gymnasium at 2 p.m.
