Men's Basketball Kiel Lewis and Women's Basketball Sandy Jenkins

Kiel Lewis and Sandy Jenkins have been named Ave Maria University's Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending 1-3-2010.

Lewis had 16 points in last weeks loss to Emmanuel College. In 28 minutes played, Lewis was 5-7 shooting, 2-3 behind the arc, and grabbed 4 rebounds. He also had an assist and a steal. 

Jenkins led AMU with 13 points and 9 rebounds versus Barry University last Wednesday. She led her team with 30 minutes played in the game and also had a block and steal. Then, in a conference win against Warner University, Jenkins scored 14 points with 6 rebounds. She shot the ball well going 5-7 from the field. She blocked 2 shots and helped AMU top Warner 77-63.
