Sergio Ramirez is the first student-athlete to sign with AMU '09. Sergio will graduate with honors from Golden Gate HS in 2009.

In spite of his youth, Sergio has accomplished the following:

• Four year varsity player at Golden Gate HS, and Senior Captain
• Two time "Collier County All Conference Player" ('08, '09)
• Two time District Champion with GGHS ('07, '08)
• Regional Champion with GGHS ('08)
• SWFL Senior Allstar team '09
• FACA Allstar player for the West Florida team
• Class 4A Player of the Year '09
• Naples Sharks Region Cup Champions '08

Coach Santos-Zanelli comments: "Sergio is not just a great soccer player, but a smart one. I know that at AMU he will keep growing as a person as well as a player. His perseverance is admirable, and I am certain that he will bring AMU a lot of satisfaction. I can't wait to see Sergio playing at the college level!"

Sergio is a native of Naples, Florida, son of Carmen and Sergio Ramirez, born April 21, 1991.
