Head men’s soccer coach Tyler Rosser is proud to announce the signing of goalkeeper Diego Collazos from Sarasota, Florida.

Diego has a long and accomplished career as he has played with four different club teams: Manatee Magic, FC Sarasota, the Suncoast Spartans, and the Venice Area Youth Soccer Association Falcons. He was the starting keeper for all those teams.

With the Suncoast Spartans his junior year of high school, he had the fewest goals allowed of any keeper in Florida’s Division I. Diego captained and was a member of the VAYSA Falcons state cup squad his senior year of high school. That same year with VAYSA Falcons, he led his team to winning the Presidents Cup and the Region C Cup. He was also the captain at Bayshore High School during his that same year.

Along with his soccer attributes, Diego has proven himself to be a young man of character. He will be a huge asset to the AMU soccer program for years to come as he strives to be the best goalkeeper in the Sun Conference. Diego is thankful to his parents and his past club coaches for encouraging him to continue with the game of soccer. Coach Rosser is excited to see what Diego can do between the posts at AMU.
