Chelsey Thompson leads AMU with a .483 slugging percentage including 5 doubles and 2 triples.

The AMU Softball Team will host Sun Conference opponent Northwood University in a Saturday 1 p.m. doubleheader at the Ave Maria University Softball Field.

The Lady Gyrenes have not played a home game since March 1st, and are coming off tough losses to NCAA Division II Nova Southeastern University and The Sun Conference's St. Thomas University. AMU's Chelsey Thompson currently leads the Lady Gyrenes with a .328 batting average that includes a team leading 5 doubles. She is followed by Marisa D'Ambrosio who owns a .320 batting average and a team leading 9 runs batted in. Sarah Bronson has been hitting well recently for AMU. Her .302 average is third best on the team.
