Immokalee High School's Alex Campbell and Samantha Molina signed last Wednesday to play softball for Ave Maria University. 

Head Coach Tim Speakman is pleased to have Alex and Samantha join the softball program at AMU. The softball team enters just its second year, and first as a Sun Conference member. That said, Speakman knows what it takes to build a program looking back on his experiences coaching at Gulf Coast High School and Palmetto Ridge High School. He feels assured that Campbell and Molina will make a tremendous impact in meeting the softball program's goals of fielding quality student-athletes at the university. 

Both Campbell and Molina enjoyed success at Immokalee High School. Both lettered all four years of varsity softball. Campbell, a centerfielder, batted an impressive .370 in 62 at bats with 18 stolen bases. Molina, a catcher, hit .290 with 20 runs batted in. She threw out twelve runners on the year.
