“This recruiting class addressed needs for the program presently and in the future. We became deeper on the mound and added athleticism throughout the roster. On top of baseball ability, there are two things that stand out when looking at this group of young men, character and classroom achievement. These guys have a background of academic success and are leaders that will be fun to work with over the next couple of years. With the returning players we have on the roster, fall practices will be a constant battle for playing time. Competition has the ability to bring out the best in individuals, so I look forward to seeing our guys push each other and in turn this will allow them to become better baseball players.”
