The Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the Grand Opening of the Tom Golisano Field House will take place Saturday, November 20th, 2010. The Men's Basketball Team will take on Trinity College. The Gyrenes (3-1 overall) defeated Trinity College earlier this season with a 106-66 road win. This will be a game you will not want to miss!

The field house was built this year to provide a home base for the university's Athletic Department, as well as serve as the home arena for the men's and women's basketball teams and volleyball team. It houses the athletic offices, a weight room, training facility, concessions, locker rooms, and storage space. The development of the building was made possible through the generous monetary contribution of Mr. Tom Golisano. On Saturday, November 20th, the Golisano Field House will hold its Grand Opening Celebration at 12:30 p.m., with other activities beginning earlier at 10 a.m. The festivities include tailgating, a three-point contest, games for the kids (there will be an inflatable bounce-around), LIVE MUSIC by Martin Doman, plus many other activities. All are welcome to join for the day's event!

Admission is $5 per family and $3 per individual. Admission is free for all students, faculty, and staff with an Ave Maria University ID card. Be the first to arrive as the first 100 people at the door will receive a free prize!
