The Ave Maria University Women's Fastpitch Softball Team plans to compete intercollegiately in the 2009-2010 school year. Our goal is to start in the fall with scrimmage games against college, junior college and 18-under travel teams followed by a regular intercollegiate schedule in the spring of 2010. Leadership scholarships are available for qualified student athletes. We are recruiting players of all ages, specifically targeting 2009 high school graduates or graduates with two or more years of eligibility remaining. We are looking for players at all positions with special consideration for those who can play multiple spots. We anticipate playing several NAIA Sun Conference schools along with opponents from the East and Midwest during the spring Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.
