Kelly, Casey, and Deidre Merrill have all signed to play volleyball at AMU next season. Head Coach Mary Reed is very excited to have all of them on campus. With the addition of the Merrill sisters and several other volleyball recruits, Coach Reed and the team are anticipating a very successful 2010 season in The Sun Conference.
Kelly is returning to Ave Maria after being away for two years. Kelly was on the first club volleyball team here at Ave Maria. University. She is 5’10” and will be playing outside and right side hitter. Kelly will be majoring in Theology and then will return to Nashville to continue her music career.
Casey is transferring in as a 6’1” middle hitter from Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio. While attending Notre Dame College she was involved in campus ministry and will continue to pursue her degree in Politics at Ave Maria.
Deidre is a 5’11” middle hitter from Knoxville Catholic High School. She is involved in the National Honor Society and has been on the Principal's and Dean's list.
Kelly, Casey, and Deidre are the daughters of John and Margaret Merrill from Knoxville, Tennessee.
