Lilla Lukacs and her family moved from Nyiregyhaza, Hungary to Bradenton, Florida when she was eight years old. Lilla has worked very hard academically and on the volleyball court at Bayshore High School as she is ranked 1 of 300 in her graduating class. She has amassed an impressive 4.6 weighted GPA.
Lilla has been involved in numerous school activities at Bayshore including: President of the National Honor Society, President of the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society, Asolo Repertory Theatre High School Journalism Program, Academic Team (3rd seed), History Club, Key Club, Forensics Team Competitor, President of the Future Business Leaders of America and Florida Virtual School. Lilla was also the Editor in Chief of the school's newspaper.
Lilla has received a long list of academic awards as well. These include: Harvard Book Award, Renseallar Medalist, Bayshore High School Language Arts Hall of Fame 2010, Bradenton Rotary Outstanding Female 2010, Golden Herald winner for Mathematics, Senior Superlative: Best All Around, Army Reserve Scholar/Athlete Award, President’s Award for Academic Excellence, Phi Beta Kappa Awards, AP Scholar and Top Student, Bayshore High School Business Academy.
Lilla has played volleyball at Bayshore High School for the past four years. She has played on the varsity team all four years and has been captain of the volleyball team for three of those four years. She has also received the award of most improved player, and for the three years was the team's most valuable player. She was named to the all-county volleyball team, and earned honorable mention for the athlete of the year award.
Lilla will contribute to the AMU volleyball team with her fine leadership ability, and with her outstanding skills as an outside hitter and defensive player.
