Teya Spooner-Serdar, a point and shooting guard from Satellite High School, has signed a Letter of Intent to play Women's Basketball for Ave Maria University in the Fall. Teya is the tenth signee for the year. Teya played her freshman year at the Air Force Academy High School in Colorado Sprongs, CO and completed her last three years at Satellite High School in Florida. Teya played her senior year for Coach Michael Hall. Teya averaged over 8 points, 4 steals and 5 assists for Coach Hall. Teya was born in Australia and intends on majoring in Biology at AMU. Coach Bob Batson said he is excited about signing Teya and expects her to be a valuable player on this year's team.
