The Ave Maria Women's Basketball Team won its second game of the season and its first Sun Coference game beating Southeastern University in Lakeland 49-33.

The Gyrenes were let by Carey Fullilove  and Sandy Jenkins who each had 12 points. Emily Huber had 11 points. The Gyrenes played a solid defensive game holding the Lady Fire to 10 second half points.

The Gyrenes will play their third game in as many days when they face the defending NCCAA National Champions from Kentucky Christian Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
