AMU signs Hayley Thompson out of Yuba City, California.

Hayley Thompson, a 6'1" center from River Valley High School in Yuba City, CA has signed a Letter of Intent to play women's basketball at Ave Maria University. Hayley is the daughter of Greg and Jill Thompson.

Hayley has won numerous athletic awards and academic honors to include Best Offensive Player her junior year, Most Valuable Player her senior year, All-League both her junior and senior years and she was chosen captain of the team her senior year. Hayley's basketball career started in the fourth grade. She has had many coaches but was most thankful for the efforts of Coaches Quist and Itamura and her senior year coach Tom Zaragoza. Hayley especially thanked her parents and brother for their encouragement and support.

Hayley is intending to study History and Political Science at Ave Maria. Bob Batson, AMU's women's coach, is excited about Hayley's joining the team and believes she will be a real asset to the program.
