Head Coach Taylor Cooke comes to Ave Maria after a decorated career at NCAA Division I Florida Gulf Coast University where she was a member of the cross country and swimming and diving teams. Coach Cooke knows what it takes to balance athletics and a demanding academic environment, as she was an Atlantic Sun Conference Academic All-American on both of her collegiate teams. She was the team captain of the FGCU swimming and diving team from 2009-2011. She brings a range of experience to the Ave Maria cross country program. Coach Cooke served as the Director of the Fort Myers Triathlon Race in May of 2011. She also serves as an instructor for Fitness on the Move/Chico's Fitness Center.
Cooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Performance in 2010, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
