March 19, 2011 - The Women’s Crew Team traveled to their first ever competition at Lake Maitland, Florida on Saturday for the Rollins Invitational. Racing conditions were near perfect over the 1,950 Meter course with sunny skies and flat water.

The Lady Gyrenes finished twelve seconds behind Rollins with a time of 7:21.3 in the Novice 8+ race.

AMU took the Novice 4+ race over Rollins by seven seconds, finishing the course in 7:48.4.

This was the only race scheduled for women's rowing during this inaugural season.
