Head coach Frank Frostino continues his coaching career here at Ave Maria University having had much success as head coach of the Naples High School women's varsity soccer team.
Coach Frostino holds his athletes to a higher standard of sportmanship as seen at Naples High School where his team received an amazing just three yellow cards in four years. In 2009 his team won third place for the Academic Team Champion Awards Program Girl's Soccer. His dedication to maintaining the academic excellence of his players is noteworthy. While at Naples High, Frostino was in charge of monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes to assure their eligibility and provide them with the means necessary for success.
Frostino's impressive coaching record includes winning three District Championships in a four year span, with a District Runner-Up finish the lone year they were not crowned champs. In addition to Naples High School, coach Frostino devotes his time to coaching the Bonita Storm U-11 in his hometown of Bonita Springs, Florida. The Bonita Storm are the only team to have advanced to the Region C Final Four two years in a row.
Coach Frostino is no stranger to professional soccer. In 1994-1995, Frostino was a member of the Canton Invaders of the National Professional Soccer League. He was a four year letterman at Bowling Green State University were he received the honor of Most Improved Player; an honor given to him by vote of his teammates. He earned All Mid American Conference Honorable Mention in 1993, and All Mid American Conference First Team in 1994. He owns a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Sport from Bowling Green State University.
